Small Painting and Framing Christmas Gift Workshop
November 3 - 4, 2012 9:30 to 4:30 Saturday and Sunday
Class Fee: $175 taxes included
For those of you who would enjoy giving your lovely work as gifts this
Holiday Season, I have designed a workshop that will revolve around simple small
images .....3 x 3 or 4 x 4 or 5 x
7 images or as large as 8 x 10....whatever configuration will fit in your
frames. The best part will be that you get to avail
yourself of my workroom, framing knowledge and supplies to assemble them yourselves,
gaining both experience in the framing end and saving considerable expense and...you will
arrive home with at least one painting ready to hang on the wall..
You are required to purchase your own frames in advance from your own sources. Most students found some great buys in the big box stores like Wal-Mart, Costco, Winners or similar retailers.
I will demo a small painting but you are free work on any subject you desire. Bring appropriate photos for your frame or mat opening size.
Note: When purchasing your frames, please be sure they are deep enough to accommodate, mats, glass, backing and spacers. Many off-the-rack- metal frames are too shallow however the wooden ones usually can fit in all of the above and many come complete with mats already. Conservation mat board used for this class will be sold at cost should you require it.
