Oswaldtwistle Mills, Accrington, Lancashire Pastel Workshop
The Oswaldtwistle cotton mill has been converted into one of the the area's most unique shopping emporiums containing a large workshop area upstairs. The doors are open 9:30 to 5:30 leaving you an hour so do some browsing at the end of class and should you wish to eat out, there are also two eateries on the premises.
The mill is only 5 minutes walk from Church and Oswaldtwistle Railway station, which can be reached from Blackpool, Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Nelson & Colne. Trains run approximately every hour. An introduction to soft pastel, the "Chocolate" of the painting mediums, this is a workshop for beginner and intermediate level artists. Special emphasis will be placed on the working qualities of the various products available to the artist and Dianna's techniques for their use. Instruction will be tailored to the students' individual levels.
